Solaris Romagna D.O.C. Sangiovese Superiore
Solaris is an expressive and powerful red wine, made from 100% Sangiovese sourced from the ‘Superiore’ vineyard. The vines, planted in 1980 and 1988, grow on south- to southeast-facing slopes and are trained using the double Guyot system. After harvest, the wine ages for 12 months in oak barrels, followed by a period in stainless steel, for a total maturation of 18 months.
In the glass, Solaris displays a bright ruby-red color. The nose is refined and complex, with floral aromas followed by notes of Morello cherry, berries, and a subtle balsamic hint. On the palate, the wine is soft, full-bodied, and mineral-driven, with well-integrated tannins and a savory, vibrant finish. The 14.5% alcohol content gives the wine power without sacrificing finesse.
Solaris is an elegant wine with depth and structure—a superb choice with refined meat dishes or enjoyed on its own.
